Biography & Repertoire


Belle Voci is a group of 3 Opera Singers: Beverley Chiat (Coloratura Soprano), Violina Anguelov (Mezzo-Soprano) & Nicola Cencherle (Tenor), accompanied by the Classical Accordionist Stanislav Anguelov. Each one of those 4 Artistes has got his or her own extremely successful career outside of Belle Voci.

Here is the recipe: take a Jewish Soprano, a Bulgarian Mezzo and an Italian Tenor, top them up with Bulgarian Yoghurt (or Accordionist). And you do not need to cook them in the oven – you just give them a stage and audience ... and Enjoy the show!!!

Belle Voci is all about good singing, good music and lots of FUN. Having the Accordion as an accompaniment instead of the traditional Piano gives them a lot of freedom and flexibility of where they perform, how they perform and what they perform as well as making their Music very accessible and entertaining. The great success of this concept has led to the recording of their first CD "OPERA de Light".

Their repertoire includes music sung in about 12 or more different languages. You can expect to hear some well-known arias or ensembles from Opera like: Nessun Dorma – from "Turandot", Quando m'en vo – from "La Bohéme", Seguidilla – from "Carmen", Caro nome – from "Rigoletto", Una voce poco fa – from "Il Barbiere di Sevgllia", Brindisi – from "La Traviata", Barcarolle – from "The Tales of Hoffmann" and many more;

Or from Operetta: Lippen schweigen from "The Merry Widow", Csardas from "Die Fledermaus", Vilja from "The Merry Widow", Du-i-du from "Die Fledermaus" and many more;

Or songs from all over the world: O sole mio, La Spagnola, Santa Lucia, Mattinata, My Yiddishe momme, Parla piu piano – theme from "The Godfather", Ochi Chiornie (Black Eyes), Wien, du Stadt meiner Träume, Granada, Ntyilo, ntyilo, Medley of Afrikaans liedtjies and many, many more…

And that is not all! They are so professional and versatile that they can appear in all sorts of combinations:

  • any one of the above Singers & Accordion.
  • any two of the above Singers & Accordion.
  • They often appear with additional instrumentalists with them too – any of the above plus Violin or Mandolin or Double Bass.
  • They can have even a whole orchestra with them!!!
